tl;dr - If you measure the extent of OPM usage by enrollments, you get roughly similar results

Yesterday Morgan wrote a post summarizing the extent of OPM market contributions (by number of institutions) to the overall online education market in US higher education.

The short answer is a minority of institutions use an OPM, whether you measure all 2- and 4-year US degree-granting institutions or narrow down to just 4-year institutions where most OPM usage occurs. The vast majority of OPM deals are with 4-year institutions even though as we have shown in this newsletter, many 2-year institutions have a substantial online presence, and it is a sector where online learning is growing.
